{1.27.2012} new Bella Blvd stamps

new stamps…

Get ready to happy dance today my Friends with Flair Unity peeps.  I’m so excited about all the new fabulous stamps from Unity.  CHA week is like Christmas!!!  Sooooo many drool worthy stamps.  They should all be available on the UNITY website today or really soon.  You can check out all the Winter 2012 CHA releases HERE.

I have a few cards to share from the new Bella Blvd releases.
Ready?

Hello little monkey girl from Let The Spoiling Begin.  Sooooo adorbs, right?  I had tons of fun coloring this monkey and it just had to be a girl, so I added the flower to her hair.  The background image is a digi that I printed on the card before popping up the little monkey.

I really, really, really love this release… Great Pear.  I think it might be one of my top faves.  Ok, it is one of my top faves.  I couldn’t decide if I wanted it in white or kraft, so what is a girl to do… BOTH of course.  Which do you like better?  The kraft has some copics and the bottom has some digi paper by Samantha Walker.

How super fun!  I have NEVER seen a stamp like this… So Happy for You.  And I totally LOVE it.  The sonogram image would be great for an announcement card or baby shower.  So clever.  I wrapped some twine around the sonogram, popped it up and added some orange hearts.  Great for a boy theme.

I’ve been working with more CHA released stamps and will be back next week here and on the Unity blog with more samples.  Yippee!

Thanks for stopping by and remember to head back to the Unity blog to visit the rest of the Friends with Flair.

{1.25.2012} back again

More yummy Hero Arts…

Yep, not one, but TWO cards made this weekend for this Hero Arts challenge.

This time, I wanted to play around with layering some background stamps.  First, I stamped the envelope pattern and then used the square brocade on top.  I wanted a bit of a worn effect on the brocade, so used a light grey color and kissed a dark charcoal over top. To finish it off, I stitched around the square with a little thread.

Last, I punched out several hearts from different patterned papers.  Layered them and stitched them to the card.  Fluffed up they look pretty cool.

Have a super day.

patterned paper: Hazel papers {My Mind’s Eye}

{1.23.2012} Hero Arts fun

Hello Monday…

I’ve been meaning to play in this month’s Hero Arts challenge.

Time is going just too darn fast. I’ve been creating but can’t share any of it yet. Thankfully, I was able to get this card done over the weekend. I was thinking about making a valentine for someone you can’t be with.

I’m mixing some old and new Hero Arts. I loved the sayings in the new Right at Home and thought it would go perfect with the row of houses. I popped up the one house in a heart and added a little punched out xoxo label at the bottom.

The card base is 4 by 5.5 and the popped up panel is hanging over just a bit, but will still fit into a standard size envelope.

That is all from me. Hope you have a lovely day.

patterned paper: Ooh La La for Her {My Mind’s Eye}
stamps: Everyday Sayings, Right at Home, Row of Houses {Hero Arts}
ink: charcoal {Colorbox chalk}, black {Versafine}
die cuts & punches: heart, Journal Plate & Bracket {EK Success}, small heart {Fiskars}
