woo hoo for Fridays!!!

It is Friends with Flair {FWF} Friday at UNITY… a  day full of inspiration from Unity Stampers.  The list of participating Friends with Flair hoppers can be found at Angela’s Unity Blog.

Tomorrow is my sister’s wedding and we’ll be delivering this card.  It is an easel card.  Have you seen this yet????  It folds up so you can display the front of the card as a work of art.  And we all know our cards are art, right!  I have been holding onto this idea for a wedding card because it is some special for a special day.

I used the stamps from the September 2009 kit of the month.  Amazingly, I do not have any wedding related stamps.  Most of the people we know are married, so these came in very handy!  I made a silly mistake and went to Michaels to just pick up some silver or grey satin ribbon… oh ya, came home with probably 16 rolls or so of various ribbons.  And maybe a few other things.  Hee hee.

Directions for how to make this card can be found HERE.  I made my card 5 x 5 and cut my strip to be 5 x 12.  I scored at 2″ from the right and then at 2.5″ and 5″ from the left.  The inside actually has a pocket as well (maybe for a gift? hmmmm).  So I made the extra 2″ score line for the pocket otherwise you would just cut your strip down to 5 x 10.  Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
