paper flowers

Ok, I have seen these pom pom like paper flowers everywhere lately.  I have tried and tried to get them to look the way I want them and failed miserably.  I might be too much of a perfectionist.  Oh well.  But, thanks to Dawn McVey’s tutorial, I solved most of my problems by just putting a button in the middle!  Hee hee.

{supplies: cs – Bazzill; pp – DCWV The Green Stack; stamps – TPC Greetings; ink – Versamark; button – Autumn Leaves; other – chocolate brown embossing powder, twine, Fiskars Treading Water border punch}

I told you I loved this sketch from Mojo Monday.  I just had to use it again for another thank you card.  The color combo is from Dawn McVey’s Raspberry Suite #21 challenge as well.  The challenge was soft yellow, light aqua, chocolate and cream.  Not a huge fan of yellow, but it does add a little pop.

I made that text paper!  So cool, right?  Not my idea.  I wish I could give credit to the person I got it from, but I forget.  I found an excerpt from Anne of Green Gables and printed it on the cardstock I wanted to use with this card!  Super easy right?  I know.  Why didn’t I think of it?  Now I’ll always have text paper and you can too!
