3.06 Limelight Project Parade

It is Limelight Papercrafts Project Parade day.

I just love our project parades.  The Limelight Chicks are so amazing!!!  They have some sweet handmade paper flowers for our theme.

{supplies:  cs – Bazzill, pp – Sugar Rush (Basic Grey); stamps – Jan. 2010 KOM, Believe in Fairytales (Unity), CL140 (Hero Arts); ink – Versamark, Joann Craft Essentials white; nesti – Peony; punches – butterfly punch (Ek Success), Corner Chomper; buttons – Basic Grey; other – white embossing powder, string, sewing machine, acrylic sheet}

I have seen these awesome little handmade embellishment gifts popping up all over the blogging world.  What a great little “thinking of you” gift for a scrappy friend!!!

Hopefully you can see that the handmade flowers are attached to a clear acyrlic sheet (or transparency).  They don’t stick permanently, so it is great to hand to a friend!

To make the flowers for the card and for the gift, I cut out two sizes of paper (one from the Sugar Rush line and one from cardstock stamped with white polka dots) with my Spellbinder Peony nestabilities, poked holes through the button and tied together with some string.  Easy peasy and so cute!  Then I just added some matching buttons from Basic Grey and punched out some butterflies too.  All set for my friend to make a card!

Here is a final close up of the card I made to go with the little embellie gift.  The flourish stamp from the Believe in Fairytales stamp kit is embossed in white.  I used some more Sugar Rush paper and did a little sewing.

The rest of the Chicks will have their fabulous projects up today as well.  Make sure you check them out!
