Limelight Project Parade day…

It is April 6th and time for the Limelight Papercrafts Project Parade.  This month the Limelight Chicks are making our projects using fabric.

Ok, so Easter has come and gone, but I needed a little hostess gift for Easter Sunday.  Thought I would share with you what I came up with.

The fabrics I am using are felt and canvas.  I don’t really sew, so I don’t have much fabric laying around.  Though, I do have a thought in my little brain to make fabric flowers, but it is stuck in there and has yet to break free.  Stay tuned.  Ha ha.

The felt bag is from the Target Dollar Spot.  There are always good finds in the Dollar Spot!  Ha ha.  I decorated it with some Sugar Rush Blossoms with a little white satin ribbon.  Then I filled the basket with some Easter candy.  It was really hard to give that Dove chocolate bunny away!!!!

{supplies: cs – Georgia-Pacific; pp – Kioshi (Basic Grey); digital files – For the Love of Eggs; nesti – Scallop Oval, Peony; button – Basic Grey; ribbon –  pink satin, pink burlap string (May Arts); other – felt}

This is the little egg card I made to go with the Easter basket.  I used the For the Love of Eggs digital file from The Cutting Cafe.  I printed the egg shapes on the Kioshi pattern paper and cut them out by hand.

What do you think of my felt flower embelli???  I made that!  Ha ha, I’m just a wee bit proud of it, can you tell?  I bought a sheet of ivory felt and used my Spellbinder Peony die cut to cut the felt flower.  I then layered a Basic Grey button tied with pink burlap string on top.  So easy and too cute.  The Happy Easter was printed out on the Kioshi green paper and cut out with a scallop oval die cut.  Just a little bit of pink satin ribbon finished it all off.

Thanks for hanging in on this super long post (at least long for me).  Check out the rest of the Chicks fabulous projects using fabric!!!
