6.21.2010 – Hippity Hop

Hey guys, it is time to H{ippity} Hop!!!

I just love Mondays because of all of my {Ippity} peeps.
Every Monday Ippity stampers get together to showcase these fabulous stamps.

This week Lisa H. (the other half of Lisa²) challenged us to create a PAPER PIECED project using Ippity stamps. To play along with the Hippity Hop challenge (IHHC29) you need to upload your photo to the SCS gallery by Sunday night! You could win a prize if you play along!!!

I am using these stamp sets this week.

{supplies: pp – Hey Birdie (Kaisercraft); stamps – Now & Always, Fall for You, Music of my Heart (Ippity); button – Basic Grey; punch – Ek Success; ribbon – brown twill (May Arts)}

Tons of paper piecing going on in this card… the entire bicycle and flower “wheels” are all paper pieced together.

So why the flower bicycle you may ask???  Well, the current Moxie Fab challenge involves bicycles.  I didn’t want just any bicycle, so I thought the Now & Always flowers would make one awesome bike!!!  I am pretty happy how it turned out.  To be honest, I wasn’t so sure it would!  hehe.  I finally got to use my new Kaisercraft Hey Birdie paper pad, plus some Basic Grey buttons and brown twill.

This is how I made the flower bicycle.  I used the flowers from the Now & Always stamp set and stamped them on two different patterned papers.  Layered them and topped them off with a button.  I then cut out the center leaf from the Fall For You set for the seat and popped that up as well..  The bike was built using one strip of brown patterned paper cut into the bar and handlebars.. And the handles are actually #1 epoxy stickers.

This was a fun challenge.  Hope you all will play along.

If you just popped into my blog, make sure you the check out the full list of hoppers on the Ippity blog.

Thanks for hopping by!
