7.6.2010 – Limelight Project Parade

Yay… it is Project Parade day for the Limelight Papercrafts design time.
Today’s project theme is an invite and party favor.

Well, since July 4th just occurred and it is the time for BBQs, I decided I would make and invite for a BBQ & fireworks party.

In Arizona, we are not allowed to have personal fireworks, so the big thing is to have a BBQ and then go to the closest show (and there are a TON of them around the valley).  I made my invite using the Unity Stylin’ Stars stamp set.  So perfect for the July 4th theme.

For the kiddos, I created a drawstring bag from a bandanna I found at Target (hello… love the dollar spot), tied it close with burlap string and made the tag using the Stylin’ Stars stamp set and letter stickers.  Then I filled it with *sNaPs*.  Those things are scary!  I accidentally dropped a few while filling the bag and about jumped out of my skin!  If you don’t know what they are, snaps are little tiny bags of gunpowder and gravel which *pop* and *flash* when thrown on the ground.  And they are LOUD.  The kids had a great time with them though.

Last, for everyone, I made these cute little strawberry favors and filled it with candy.

Hop on over to Lynn’s blog next.
