{3.23.2011} take two day three

Wow, we are already on day THREE!

This is going by so fast, hope you are enjoying OUR two takes.
Emily is one fantastic inspiration.  Her cards are always so STUNNING!

So, I promised to share a little about me today.  I always get side tracked, so LISA focus!  Ha.  My LOVE for card making started about 7 years ago.  I used to work nights (8pm to 6am) and had a LOT of time on my hands. lol.  One of my co-workers showed me a card she made for a family member and the paper addiction began.  Funny how something just strikes you as YOUR THING!  So now, a boatload of ribbon, hundreds of stamps, thousands of pieces of paper later, I am here.  Doing my thing in the blogosphere.

I am married.  Have been for 7 years .  My hubby and I met in collage 11 years ago and have been on this life journey ever since.  We have 2 rescue mixed dogs {who are “my girls”} named Sienna and Ella.  Which is really weird when pregnant acquaintances name their baby the same as one of my girls.  Lesson learned, don’t share that tidbit when they tell you what they are going to name their baby.  It freaks them out.

I love to be outside.  Hiking, walking, taking pictures, looking at the empty dirt filled holes I hope will be jalapeno plants one day.  So far they haven’t been in 3 years.  I couldn’t grow a weed if I tried.

Ok, see why I split this up, a NOVEL I tell ya!  Let’s move on to what you are really here for… this card!  🙂

Today’s stamp set is birdie duet.

So I find this funny… neither Emily nor I had used this stamp set yet.  It has been patiently waiting for the spotlight and it sure got it!  Ha.  I had to have this set because of that gorgeous birdcage.  So it was a no brainier to make it the focal point for this card.  I think it is such a lovely image {thanks so much Joslyn Nielson}.
