{9.15.2011} Hip HOP

Welcome from Jimmi’s blog.  So excited to share the new theme for this month’s Unity Challenge!  Are the leaves changing and falling where you are?  Not for me, but that is ok, I’m getting ready for them with our new challenge.

This month’s theme is:

FALLING LEAVES

Last weekend, I took a quick trip back to South Dakota {I couldn’t believe it had been almost 14 years since my last visit}.  It felt like coming home even though I am a native Arizonan.  All my family is from there while I am the only one born here.  I spent MANY summers up there in farm country.  Such a different life and a time I will always treasure.  I hope to return much sooner next time.  Anyway, I took this photo on the porch of my aunt and uncle’s lake cabin.  First sign of fall and very fitting for this month’s theme.

I am using the ‘all seasons‘ current KOM and the saying from ‘think happy thoughts‘.  It is perfect for this challenge.  Not to mention there are a TON of great UNITY stamp sets with leaves in them.  I’m sure you have one.  😉

The BIG prize is for
100 random stamps AND
a free kit of your choice valued at $45 or under!!

How sweet is that???
Hope you will play along!

Off you go to Maren’s blog!!!!

What a beautiful card, Lisa! The flower is gorgeous, and adds a lot to the overall design without being “too much” for a sympathy card (for me, at least…). I also really like the one coloured leaf, with the rest in grey on the card base. Inspiring as always!

Hey, that’s so cool that you were in SD (I live in Sioux Falls but I, too, am a native Arizonan…funny, isn’t it?). The flower paired with the leaves–gorgeous! The colors are so pretty!!
