{3.22.12} take two day four…

Take Two Week: Day FOUR

Oh boy.  After going thru MANY stamps sets to find ones we shared, Emily and I finally finished our list with this one.  We’ve both had it for quite some time and neither have inked it up.  Crazy right!  It was a perfect addition to our week.

a simple christmas

What I love about Emily is her ability to use stamps for uses other than they are intended.  She immediately said, “we could used A Simple Christmas for Christmas or non-Christmas occasions”.  Love that!  So, I worked really hard to think outside the box and decided to make a birthday card.

My birthday to be exact!  Ha.  Next week is my birthday and who says I can’t make my own card.  Maybe I’ll even mail it to myself.  That would fit in with my goal to mail out more cards this year.  🙂  I used all my favorite colors and of course it had to be on kraft.  The calendar included in the kit is super adorable, but I had to cover up the December with some sticker letters for March.  The ‘best day ever’ saying came from THIS kit.  One of my go to kits for birthdays.

Only one more day to go.  Thank you all for visiting every day.
Tomorrow is a doozie as we say so long to Take Two Week.

Pop on over to Emily’s blog to see what she has with this set today!

But, before you go… I have something special to share about this week’s Unity sale.

BIG, BIG, BIG sale!!!  And ‘A Simple Christmas’ is included in it for only $11.25 PLUS a ton MORE!!!
You will definitely want to check them all out.

This post made me giggle out loud. I almost spit some coffee onto my screen….LOL! Mail it and make sure you add something along the lines of “You’re the Greatest” to the envelope (bahaha). Your card is fantastic and I am so happy to see you use a Christmas set for a Birthday….clever! Happy Early Birthday.

Day 4–I’m in withdrawal already…Wonderful job of layering the postcard frame and your banner. Also like how you alternated stamping and popping the pennants. AND really impressed with altering the date on the calendar…Happy early B-Day!

I think it’s great you made yourself a card! I’m just not sure mailing it to yourself should count towards your goal. 😛 My favourite part of this beauty is how you did the banner, layering just some of the pennants. Nice!
