{3.25.2012} a little SMAK

SMAK…
I was up on the Unity blog YESTERDAY with a project using this SMAK set.

This is my FAVE SMAK (scrapbooking/mixedmidea/altered art kit).  I keep going back to those arrows over and over again.  BUT, it was time to ink up some new images.

I love the random stamping action of the numbers.  I used the fabulous ‘take time to laugh‘ kit of the month as well.  The inspiration for this card came from a Starbucks tumbler.  The pattern and colors were amazing.  I have a video to show how this card was made and you’ll get to see the tumbler in there.

Wishing you a crafty Sunday.

Today, my family is celebrating my grandma’s 90th birthday at her park.  Her birthday is in April, but my snowbird is heading back to South Dakota before then.  So, her friends at her park want to celebrate her before she leaves.  It is a BIG deal you know… pizza, cake, homemade bars and lemonade for my sweet grandma.  It is going to be one rockin’ party… we are expecting around 50-75 folks.  Whew, I’m going to be tired tonight.  Ha.

OK, I’m telling you because I think it might make you laugh too….when I first looked I thought it said “take time to AUGH” – which, you know, I think I make time to do that every day 😉 I love the colours & the fun twine & star combo!

Love this card! 90 is such a big deal. We celebrated with my grandfather last July. It is really truly amazing the wealth of knowledge folks that age possess!

We have a couple of family members turning 90 this year — must have been a fun year! 😛 I love that you found inspiration from your Starbucks tumbler, and how perfectly the card turned out!
