Unity Stamp Company revealed the brand new Stamp of the Week yesterday.
This one contains one lovely rainbow.

Rainbows always make me think of Rainbow Bright.  Can’t help it, I’m a child of the 80’s.  Rainbow Bright was the bomb!  She had one awesome ponytail and a fabulous rainbow HORSE!  A little girl’s dream.

I have to laugh about this card.  On a whim, I decided to tackle this on a TUESDAY night!  Are you kidding me???  A Tuesday night?  First, I have to tell you my hubby and I go to bed at 8pm.  I know, who the heck goes to bed at 8pm?  Well, we do.  Mainly because the hubs gets up between 3-3:30 am and I just really like to sleep.  It is hard to get anything done while he is trying to sleep, so being the good wife, I go to bed early too.  But I digress.

With our early bedtime, I do not have much time between work, dinner, dogs, chores and TV/computer time to craft during the week.  So, for me to get a wild hair you-know-where and make this card was just darn NUTS.  I thought I had a brilliant plan and would have no problems cranking it out.  Let’s just say, many card bases, stamped rainbows and black ink on my fingers, face and all over my patterned papers… this is the result.  NOTHING close to what I had planned.  There is a reason I don’t craft during the week and the black ink under my nails were the proof the next morning.

I do like how this cutie turned out in the end though.  Full of colors and fun.  But, I doubt I will be crafting during the week for awhile.  That stressed wore me out.

You can find more information or sign up for the Stamp of the Week HERE.
It really is an amazing deal at $5.79 US or $7.95 international (that price INCLUDES shipping).

*swoon* This is amazing, Lisa! Everything just fits so well together, the shape, the circles, the twine. It looks like a gift! Thanks so much for the most wonderful and fun week, Lisa!! Take it easy this week. 😉

I’m smiling while reading your post – we all have days like so. But even if this was not according to plan, it’s a great card!! Love that rainbow and the twine. Have a lovely week!!

RAINBOW BRITE! oh em gee, my favourite as a kid. I had a Romeo Sprite doll that I carried with me for so long his nose got a hole in it. For reals. Sigh.
I had to laugh – I go to bed pretty early most days too, definitely by 9, and whenever I get a wild hair to do otherwise, I end up inky, messy, and frustrated! So, I’m glad to know I’m not alone there 🙂 For all that I love the final project – all the blood, sweat, tears, and dirty fingernails notwithstanding 😉 lol!

I love the kraft cardstock with the bright rainbow! You’d never know you were out of your crafty element with the late night creating! Wonderful end result!!! 🙂

Love the fun shape of the card and the twine makes it feel like a little package! 🙂 Yummy patterned paper too.

If I got up at 3am I’d be going to bed at 8pm too! As it is we crash at 10pm and get up at 5:30am. And I know what you mean about the evenings. The days I work I don’t get home until between 7 and 7:30pm. Not much time to sort out dinner, dogs, showers, etc so I know what you mean. Not much evening crafting happening here either.

Your comments really make my day, thank you!
