{4.1.2012} print candee goodies

Happy April!

I should have an April Fool’s Day card for you, but alas, I have been out of town and wasn’t able to get one made.  For my birthday, we went up north to Sedona, AZ.  We found a great pet friendly hotel and had an amazing time.  The hubs and I love to hike and are quite the foodies.  Sedona is the perfect combo for both!

So, instead of an April Fool’s card, I have some amazing Print Candee goodies to share!!!  No joke.  🙂

I can’t keep up with my need for thank you cards.  I’m using THIS super cute retro fruit digi set.  You could make a TON of cards using this CAS (clean and simple) design and a mixture of stamps.

For this one, I used a punch to create a window to get a peek at the apple printed on the inside.

I really love that flower design inside the apple.  I wanted to pull those colors out with the sentiment.  I didn’t quite have the right colored ink, so I combined two inks {the marmalade and cranberry).  I first inked up the marmalade and then lightly added a little cranberry on top.  An interesting effect happened.  Since the marmalade is a distress ink and the cranberry is pigment, they didn’t quite blend so there is a bit of a gradient/speckled look that is quite pretty.

And last we have this sweet little apple.  To make a cohesive set, I added a little rhinestone to each card.  Helps to pull the thank you collection together.  That is all from me today.

Make sure you head over to the Print Candee Store
to check out all the fabulous digital products!  There have been some great new additions.

Happy belated birthday! Glad you guys had a good time and how perfect to like hiking and be foodies – with all that exercise you can eat whatever you want! 🙂

I love these cards. You’re making me think I should take another stab at working with digital goodies. I find them pretty intimidating but when I see stuff like this I want to play too!
