{6.18.2012} delight…

So, my mojo is rebelling again.

And it MUST be a teenager, because it sure is in an awful mood.  Ha.  The new Unity Stamp Company – Stamp of the Week was calling to me to create something with it, but goodness… it was a challenge for me.  Literally.  When my mojo needs a good swift kick in the patootie, I turn to challenges.  I have to thank Simon Says Stamp and CAS-ual Fridays for their inspiration when I am in dire need.  I don’t know what I would I do without my favorite challenges.

What a delightful stamp this week.  I love the included banner shape and the butterfly is darling.  Another paper piecing dream.  The challenge for Simon Says Stamp is based on a lovely photo collage by Joy.  It reminds me of pure summertime and sunshine.  I tried to mimic the feelingi by pulling the colors and the flowers from the different pictures.

And the CAS-ual Friday challenge required the use of vellum or acetate.  I haven’t pulled out my vellum in a while, so I embossed the butterfly in white on it.  The 1″ circle was perfect to punch the butterfly out of the center of the stamp.

I hope you delight in each day this week!
Happy Monday.
