{7.8.2012} oh holy…

HOTNESS!

The weather is SIZZLING around the country.  It is always hot here in the AZ, so I feel really bad for those who are not used to it.  Let alone all the storms and fires going on.  So, I find it pretty funny that this week’s CAS Outlawz Challenge is basically Christmas in July.  What a challenge to think of snow and carols when it is over 110 degrees outside.  But, fun none the less.  My card is based on the song Oh Holy Night.

Hello cute little camel!  He was going to have 2 more friends (aka, the 3 wise camels), but they wouldn’t all fit on the tall skinny card.  I had so much fun mixing patterns and coloring.

I am guest designing this month with the fabulous CAS challenge design team.  You can join us by clicking on the banner above, sign up to join the ning group and EVERYONE will welcome you with open arms.  They are all so sweet.  You can find the CAS challenge group HERE.  Just click the button to join the group and start the fun.  There are some amazing prizes to be one.  Hope you will join us!

Your card is so, so sweet! We’re blazing in heat in Ohio…but the rain is coming and I’m thankful!!

I am having a massive giggle attack since reading about the ‘3 wise camels’! That is so funny!!! We are getting whipped with heat and humidity in PA and am anxiously awaiting some relief. It came today…the humidity is lower and so is the temp. It looks to be short lived, but I’ll take it 🙂 Off to go caroling…I wonder if the 3 wise camels are available for rental? Hee hee 😉

    Hugs to you!

I feel for those people who don’t have power (no fans, for many no water) during this heat, yikes! (Although it’s better here today, at least.) No wonder you made a desert card! It is all kinds of cuteness, Lisa!

Very cute camel indeed! Great card.

The book I was just reading had a line about camels – ‘she gave him a look as if he had just suggested they catch a camel and keep it for a pet’. If it was a wise camel I wonder if that would be better? I love this guy’s face, and I can’t imagine trying to think Christmas in the heat…yikes! A desert scene is perfect.

This is total cuteness! I would love to have this mass produced for my Christmas cards this year!

Love this idea, Lisa!! And I’m impressed that you created that in your hot sunny weather!! We should have summer here now as well (though not temps like with you) but it’s like autumn… Quite cold and rain, rain, rain, so I’m starting to feel like I have to hurry with the christmas cards, ha ha!! Love this one!!
    Hugs, Wendy
