{8.6.2012} smile – it’s monday…

Yay!

This card makes me smile for a TON of reasons:

1.  I have not created for FUN in a few months.  My mojo has taken a serious summer vacation.  I’ve been keeping up with my scheduled design team assignments, but playing for fun eluded me {and was starting to worry me}.  I had the BIGGEST grin when I completed this one.  It felt good.

2.  I used washi tape… my new found love.
These are from Target… check the office supply section.  They are packaged in rolls of 4 for just $4.  Steals!

3.  TOTALLY clean and simple.  Ahhhhh, love.

4.  New Hero Arts stamps in DA HOUSE… yea!  How can you not smile at that!!!

5.  Finally, I’m playing in a challenge for Hero Arts.

So fun.

Seriously, this card just makes me happy.  I can’t explain it.  It is so simple, so full of white space… just some tape and one stamp.  But, my heart is smiling.  It feels good to look at a card and feel like myself again.
K, ’nuff of my weirdness.  I think you get it.  Lol.

I’m using some yummy Target tape in my favorite color combo right now: orange and teal.  Dots and stripes, yes please.  And the pop of the orange was perfect to highlight the ‘smile’ from the sentiment.

I am also entering this into the A Blog Named Hero

since anything goes this week and I LOVE Hero Arts.

I hope this made you smile on a Monday.
Have the most wonderful week.

Lisa, this is fabulous! Love how the sentiment pops on the orange tape and the perfect mix of patterns! Creating just for fun is the best 🙂

Love it! Creating for fun is definitely the best – when the mojo isn’t there, it’s definitely a bit scary. I always wonder if I finally ran out of ideas. Love this washi tape – one of these days Target will get around to Canada, and then LOOK OUT. Of course, washi tape will probably be ‘over’ by then, but I digress 🙂
Love the colour combo – orange & teal is so fun, and really pops against the white!
