{10.18.2012} CTS#2 + free Silhouette File

Let’s CAS(E) this SKETCH! CTS is a challenge blog to inspire you to to create a clean and simple card based on a fun sketch. Here is my inspiration for this week’s challenge and brand new sketch.

I love how the one big element of the sketch falls off the side of the page and is cut off!  That is what inspired this sketch, something that butts right up to the edge of the card or that would normally hang over but gets cut off.  I took that part of the sketch to the center panel and mimic the sketch there.

Do you have ‘sketch fright’?  I’ve noticed a few mention they have a hard time interpreting a sketch to create their card.  I love sketches… creating them, using them, my brain just thinks they are super fab.  But if you need a few pointers on how to approach a sketch, I have a video for you based on today’s sketch.

Here is a close up of the bee card from the video.

Don’t you just adore that bee??? So cute right.  I have the honeycomb file I created for the Silhouette share too. Just click on the graphic below to download.

And card number two from the video!  Don’t you love how so many cards can be inspired by just one little sketch?

Make sure you hop over to the CTS blog for challenge rules and a blog full of inspiration. The design team girls are so talented and have the most fabulous cards to share.
