[simon says] critter fun

My Deer…

Got busy in the craft room yesterday.  September is the 2nd busiest month for birthdays for us.  I already knocked out 3 by the 7th.  Gosh they come up fast.  So, I’m getting a jump on the ones that come later in the month.

I love the challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week… animal antics.  Paper Smooches has the cutest critters around, so I grabbed my Happy Camper stamp set and got to stamping.

Awwww… isn’t he a deer.  I think this is my favorite stamp from this set.  That deer is the sweetest thing evah.  I stamped him in Memento London Fog, something different than black.  A little softer and I kinda like it.  I colored him in with some Copics, added a little white gel pen to his spots and then added a shadow after masking.  That panel he is stamped on is popped up above the patterned paper.  Next came the die cut talk bubble and sentiment.  Love how that birthday sentiment fits in that talk bubble just perfectly.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday.  I’m off… I have a donut waiting for me.

This is seriously adorable Lisa! I think the soft gray Memento ink looks great for the deer. I love the shadow too, I really need to get that stamp set . . . SOON!

Using the grey ink gives this card just the perfect soft look to it! So sweet, Lisa.

This birthday card is adorable! I really like that you stamped the image in grey instead of black – I will have to give that a try sometime! Enjoy your donut! I just had some candy corn – yum! 🙂
