[11.17.2013] wanna sketch no. 11

Wanna Sketch no. 11

2013wanna-sketch

Yay, time for a brand new Wanna Sketch!  I love this one.  Kinda partial… I know, but I really do love it.  I’m so glad you stopped by to see what the next sketch will be.  I hope you will be inspired to play along too.  It will be fun, I promise.

I started out with the pretty bird stamp from the Strength & Dignity stamp set by Unity.  If you hurry, you can still get this stamp set for only $26 AND till November 18th at midnight, Unity will donate $1 to help the victims of the Philippine Typhoon.  An amazing time to place an order if you have been waiting.

I found some soft and pretty patterned papers to play with.  I put the busier pattern behind to help tame it.  Then, I stamped the bird on the lighter sheet and added the sentiment in a lovely bluish color.  I just happened to have some sequins that matched my ink perfectly, but they are HUGE!  When I ordered sequins the first time, I didn’t quite know what size they should be.  So, I ordered a variety and these just happened to be the largest of the bunch.  I love them, but they were just too big for this card.  I used my hole punch to cut out the middle.  Problem solved.  Yay.

I hope you love the sketch and will play along too.  The linky will stay open until Friday, December 13, 2013 {11:55pm PT}.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

You hole-punched sequins to make them smaller. That is true problem-solving! 😀 What a beautiful card, Lisa, with just the right pops of blue and bling.
