Unity Thursday

Yay for Thursdays!!!
The Unity design team is hop, hop, hopping away today.  If you have been hopping you should be arriving from Joslyn’s blog, if not, all the action starts on the Unity blog.

Check out the blog for all of this week’s AMAZING news and sales, but here is a quick peek.

and these are RI.DIC.U.LOUS!

You will have to check out all the PUNNY new stamps.

Back to our hopping adventure.  Have you been enjoying all the amazing projects so far?  This team is amazing, I’m always blown away with what these girls come up with.  Such brilliant minds.

I’m focusing on the current kit of the month and stamp of the week.  All these amazing stamps, so little time.  Up first…

Strength and Dignity

It was so hard to pick which image to use first.  I love them all so much.

This pretty lady won out in the end.  I paired her with my favorite sentiment from the kit.  While creating this, I was thinking of a teenage girl.  Wouldn’t this be a nice message to leave for her to find?  Such a hard lesson to learn when we are young.

The background is cut with my Cameo and then I layered some pretty paper in the center.  Last came the stamped girl and banner with sentiment.  Quick and easy.  Just wanted the stamps to shine.

Mind & Beauty

Such a pretty dress!  I love Angie’s dresses on dressforms.  Always so elegant and fun to color.  Usually I’ll color an image and then go find some papers to match.  WELL, this time, I found my papers first.  Usually I have no clue what I’ll make when I color, so this was much easier!

I pulled out an older paper pad to match this pretty dress.  Trying to use up my older stash.  It is slow going!

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 2 PRIZE PACKAGES (pictured below) from comments left on the participating blogs.

Love the round shape with the larger stamp as the focus. And the dress card is so pretty with those colors. Beautiful work, as always.

This is beautiful! I’m glad to see your using up older papers, too. I was cleaning my craft room this week and I’ve decided to buy NO paper in 2014. I have to use up what I have. We’ll see if I can stick to it. But really! I’ve gotta do it!

I love that you include a list of supplies used in your post! So often I find cards I love but can’t find the right materials to make one of my own. The right papers can be especially hard to find.

As a musician, I like that the music paper used on the one background is musically accurate. Drives me nuts when it’s not. I always try to figure out what piece it is, too. 🙂

Both cards are SOO very nice. The first one would yes be so good for a young girl when she in in the midst of trying to grow up and see just who or what she is. An encouragement. The secon one is also very pretty in its soft sweet way. Very romantic – reminds me of prom- kind of sentimental. Thank you!

The paper and the coloring really do go together very well on the second card. It’s good when you have the paper before you start something. Love the black and white card – very striking.
