{2.27.2014} let’s hop with Unity

Unity Thursday Hop

It is that TIME again… Thursday fun is happening with the Unity design team.  If you have been hopping you should be arriving from Joslyn’s blog, if not, all the action starts on the Unity blog.

I have a couple of cards to share with you today.
Up first, a quickie card using the February kit of the month.

Grow into Spring

IMG_1827_dahlhouse

Bee.utiful… I adore that.  Love these bees.  They have a bit of a mixed media feel built into the design.  So fun.  Plus there two different options for sentiments included in this month’s kit.  I added a little gold Smooch Ink around the bees for a little sparkle.

Up next, a project life card using this week’s Stamp of the Week.

Live your Dream

IMG_1845_dahlhouse

I’m loving this project life size card.  You might have to trim off that little tab to fit in it’s own pocket or you could use a bigger one and slide a photo in along side.  I’m also thinking this would be great added to a card front too.

The image was colored with some finger daubers and 3 different colors of ink.  So easy to do.   Then, I added some Vibez shimmer spray on top.  I unscrewed the top and dropped the ink on top from a high distance.  It is a subtle effect that is hard to capture in the photo, but you might be able to see it a little.  Then I inked the edges with some white ink to help balance out the darkness from the ink.

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 2 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.
