Unity Thursday

Whoop, whoop!  It is THURSDAY and time to have some fun with the Unity design team.  If you have been hopping you should be arriving from Joslyn’s blog, if not, all the action starts on the Unity blog.

I’m playing with the new Stamp of the Week today.  I love the whimsy of these flowers.

So, this is how this card went down.  Lol.  I had the layout in my head, cut all my pieces, had my stamps all done and colored in.  I was putting everything together and then I dropped my ink on top of my sentiment square.  Eeek.  Not good.  Before that even happened, I was having trouble finding a place to put it anyway.  I think I moved all the squares around a billion and one times.  So, once the sentiment was ruined, I took it as a sign and just left the front blank.  Now, I have a card ready to go for any occasion.  Problem solved and I don’t leave fronts blank very often, so that is kinda fun.

And onto this cutie.  I have been waiting to use this little stamp FOREVER.  This little Ellie is so sweet.

Total cuteness, right.  This could easily be a boy card if you changed out the colors to blue or even green or yellow.  Little boys like elephants too.  So, I have heard.  I brought out my Silver Wink of Stella glitter pen for this one.  Those stars needed to shine.

Very sweet designs, Lisa! I like to leave off the sentiment generally. That allows me to add it when the occasion comes up. 🙂

Two great cards. I love the tones and layout in your first card. Those flowers are cute.
That little elephant is really adorable.

  35. Tammy Valley

Love the cards and so understand the situation with ruining a part of your card. I don’t know how many times I have done that and had to “cover” it up 🙂 Without the sentiment, it can be used for anything now.

  36. Shannonn J

Gah!!! That ellie is adorable!! And I am in love with the sentiment free card – perfectly made and perfectly versatile!! I did cringe when I was reading the story about how it all came to be because I have done that myself way too many times!! But by what I’m seeing, I would say the story has a happy ending!

Your comments really make my day, thank you!
