[4.10.2014] happy unity thursday

Yay for Thursdays… with Unity.

Eeek, time for some more THURSDAY fun with the Unity design team.  If you haven’t been hopping along, all the action starts on the Unity blog.  There’s always fun stuff going on.

We are starting a BRAND NEW {be inspired} Unity Challenge today.  Three fabulous ways to be inspired this month.

I love those colors and that sketch, so my card is based on both.

IMG_2586_dahlhouseThe plump polka dot background is one of my faves!!!  So love how it can add texture (embossed) and interest to the background of a card.  I layered some journal cards on top (note the cute little mason jars… inspired by the photo as well).  Then, I stamped the Thank You from the Be Your Own Beautiful KOM on cork.  Yup, cork, totally cool huh.

Up next, I have a card using this week’s Stamp of the Week.

IMG_2564_dahlhouseThis butterfly is AMAZING, don’t you think?  That Angie Blom, she is pretty darn fantastic with her designs.

I only popped up the purple part of the butterfly.  Love the little bit of dimension.  Just adds a little something, something that is different.

I keep this card very simple, like a peice of art.  I just added a little Wink of Stella glitter to the butterfly and some buttons to accent the butterfly’s colors.

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 2 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.

Here are all the girls hopping today…  just click on the next pretty girl in line.
