[2.12.2015] unity thursday blog hop

Hoppin’ with Unity

Hello THURSDAY!!!  It is a great day for some hopping fun with the Unity design team.  If you haven’t been hopping along, all the action starts on the Unity blog.  There’s always fun stuff going on.

This week Unity is kicking off a BRAND NEW {be inspired} challenge and it is amazing.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I was inspired by both the colors and the card sketch.  My first card uses only the colors in the challenge, then I added some coral to the mix for the second two.

I started out with stamping the sentiments on watercolor paper and then die cut them out.  Next some simple watercoloring with Distress inks.  I just love how vibrant the colors turned out.  I also sprayed some sheer shimmer ink over the tops and let them dry completely.  Next, I stamped the wood-grain background in white and popped up the sentiments after they were dry.  Last, but not least, I added some white and clear sequins for a little more sparkle and dimension.

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 2 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.

Here are all the girls hopping today…  just click on the next pretty girl in line.
