[7.9.2105] unity thursday time

Unity Thursday

Time for some more THURSDAY fun with the Unity design team.  If you haven’t been hopping along, all the action starts on the Unity blog.  There’s always fun stuff going on.

I have two cards to share this week.  First up, this lovely from the newest stamp of the week.

Rosey Thoughts

dahlhouse designs | 7.2015 good thoughts

So, there is this rose called the Judy Garland.  It is my favorite.  It is a mix of pinks, yellow and peach.  I did not do it justice in this card, but it was my inspiration for colors.    I used some Distress Inks to watercolor (also my favorite method of coloring at the moment).

There is also a brand new Be Inspired Challenge starting today.  You really should come play along… $150 worth of stamps up for grabs.  All you have to do is Be Inspired by one of these challenges and use your Unity stamps.

Plus, I have a new sentiment kit releasing today for the challenge as well.

I’m using my Distress Inks again for coloring.  Check out the quickie video for tips on how I watercolored this image.

I think you did just fine emulating the Judy Garland rose. 🙂 It’s a gorgeous card! The second card is so softly-coloured and beautiful.
