[8.11.15] Happy Hour with Unity

Unity Happy Hour

Whoa, that is right, TUESDAY.  We are changing things up around here.  First, we are moving the weekly Thursday hops to TUESDAY at 7pm central time.  And, we are doing some chatting on Facebook tonight as well to kick off the fun.  Come join us at 7pm central in the EVENT page for some prizes & chatting!!!  Whoo hoo.  We have a HUGE release of new stamps for this fun change and all the deets are at the Unity blog.

There are a TON of amazing new stamps being released this week.  OH so many, I had a hard time picking which ones to play with.  I have three cards to share with you today.

There are a bunch of really cute dollar stamps out this week and these little hedgehogs just needed to be a card.  I foiled them with gold and green.  They are so pretty in real life, but again, my camera has failed me.  If anyone has tips on how to capture the foil affect, I would really appreciate it.

I’m foiling again, but this time in silver and teal.  I started to think this would make for one amazing wedding card.  So, I stuck with the elegant theme, added the vellum and strip background with some rhinestones and ink splatters.

Last up is this vintage rooster.  I’m not usually into the vintage/country style, but this little rooster begs to be in a country yard.  I didn’t have the perfect patterned paper to stamp him on, so I created my own antiqued background.  Turned out pretty perfect.

I have an Assemble This! video sharing how I created the antique background for your viewing pleasure.

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 2 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.

Love all of these cards, especially the last one. I’m really not into roosters, but I really like this one. I also love the sentiment on the last card, lyrics from one of my favorite songs.
