[1.1.2017] Season’s Givings for 2017

SeasonsGivingsimage

Happy New Year Friends!!!

I’m thrilled to be apart of the Season’s Givings Blog Hop this year, you should have arrived from Lee Murphy’s blog if you’ve been hopping along. A little about the Season’s Givings hop… a bunch of companies and bloggers all gather together to celebrate the season and by giving back to our amazing visitors.  Just our little way of saying thank you for spending the year with us.

I sure hope 2016 treated you well and if not, may 2017 be the start of something beautiful. It was quite the busy year for me. The little blog kept chuggin’ along and I’m so thankful for those who stick with me. Your visits and comments keep my heart warm and a smile on my face. If you are new, welcome, welcome, welcome. I’m so glad and thankful you are here too.

dahlhouse-designs-1-2017-thanks-birdie

There are two things I want to start 2017 with — gratitude and a smile. This card encompasses it all. The cute little birdie to make me smile and the thanks to express my gratitude. I’m always amazed when I look back on the year, how blessed I am over and over again. I have moments where I don’t always see it or feel it, but when it comes time to reflect, there is no doubt I’ve had an amazing year full of wonderful things. I love that this hop reminds me to look back and remember those amazing blessings.

This little chickie was colored with Copic markers, a little Wink of Stella to the belly, fussy cut out and popped up on the patterned papers. He’s just a little burst of sunshine. I die cut the “thanks”, popped it up and then covered it in glossy accents to create some texture contrast and then stamped the sentiment right underneath. They go pretty well together. I added a bit of string at the end to tie it all together.

Every participant in this hop has a gift to give.  So make sure to leave comments and/or follow instructions on how to enter each giveaway.  FOR ME… just leave a lovely comment on what you are looking forward to in 2017 and I’ll pick a winner to receive a prize package full of Unity Stamp Co stamps (stamps are different from those pictured, I didn’t have time to snap a real picture) and anything else I can fit in a flat rate envelope.  The prize package is open to {ALL} and a winner will be announced on this blog January 8th.

If you are looking for where to sign up for updates or where I might be in social media-land, check out my links below.  Thank you so much for joining me in welcoming the new year. I can already tell 2017 is going to be a fabulous year. Keep in touch as I have a few fun things planned. If you ever have suggestions for what you want to see or questions on anything, email me. I’d love the suggestions and I’d love to help you out too. My email box is always open!!! HUGS.

Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and artistry; you inspire me so much. My crafting goal for 2017 is to try to create at least once a week. Doesn’t seem like a lot but balancing work, my family, and taking care of my mom leaves little time for anything else but crafting freshens my soul so it’s important.

Happy New Year Lisa!! Your little birdy card is absolutely adorable and yes, it made me smile. I’m working on two projects – organizing my craft room and I’m putting together 2 cookbooks for my Mama’s recipes for my brother and I. It’s more of a memorial of the things my Mama loved. I’m stamping, stenciling, using stickers to decorate it and make it a memory piece. Including some special stories to go along with it.

Thank you for the wonderful crafting goodies. I’ve always wanted some Unity stamps and have never been able to get them. This would be a lot of fun.

Blessings on you and your family! ~~Catherine

I could say something generic, but after some thought, I would like renewed hope and faith for peace. Peace in the world, hey…girl can dream! Peace of mind! Peace within our family! If peace cannot be achieved, then renewed hope and faith to continue to focus on what is important to me! To reflect on how blessed I am! To continue to pay it forward everyday to make others lives happier! This could be holding a door, picking up a tab, smiling, asking if I can help at the supermarket, etc. To not feel guilty by ta time for myself! I could go on, but we would be here until 2018! Thanks For the inspiration and for the opportunity to win! Happy New year!
