Hello Friends…

I have another quick holiday card idea to share today using another Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit. With just a few simple die cuts, you can create this cute little card or mass produce them since it is so easy.

Description

This card is all about simplicity. A few simple die cuts paired with simple stamping and embossing makes for one darling little card.

You don’t have use die cuts to create these shapes, you can easily do them on your own. I just love the perfect edges and the darling detail of the stitched borders. I’m a sucker for a good stitched edge.

I love all the sentiments in this set. I picked out a few that fit into my center banner and stamped away using my MISTI and Versamark ink. It is so helpful when creating multiple cards. To add a bit of shine and interest to the sentiment, I heat embossed it in silver. The bow just finishes everything off and completed the “present” look of the card.

The Steps

Here are the steps to recreate this card:

  1. Start with a standard size A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″) card from white cardstock.
  2. Die cut the top of a piece of green cardstock with a scallop edge die. Adhere that to a strip of patterned paper (like the striped paper I used). Die cut it again, leaving lots of patterned paper at the top, with a stitched rectangle die. Adhere to the card front.
  3. Die cut a fishtail banner out of white cardstock. Stamp the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Pop up on the front of the card with foam adhesive.
  4. Tie a bow with some green twine and glue to the top of the sentiment banner with liquid adhesive. Trim the ends of the bow.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s project. If you create something, I’d love to see. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.

Quick and easy is good at this time of year! Especially when it’s still a beautiful card, like this.
