Hello Friends…

I’m playing with alcohol inks again today. I can’t help but reach for them for backgrounds. I just love them. Today I’m trying them out on regular cardstock with some of my favorite Unity Stamp Company stamp sets.

Assemble This! Video

I’ve created a quick video tutorial on how this card was made. You can watch it below or on YouTube.

Pretty cool, eh? I love that fabulous rainbow-like background and it was done on regular cardstock instead of Yupo paper.

The biggest difference in using cardstock verse Yupo paper is the vibrancy of the colors. They are more muted and matte. This can be a plus. I love a matte look so this is right up my alley. Using the pearl alcohol inks still adds a bit of a sparkly shine to the background. I love how the light hits it against the matte background and you get this surprise glittery look.

I have all the details on how to recreate this card in the video above. It’s super easy. All you need are the right supplies which are listed below.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s project. If you create something, I’d love to see. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.
