11.1.2010 – Hippity Hop

It is H{ippity} Hop time!!! This week the fabulous Angie challenged us to create a project with FIBERS and using Ippity stamps for IHHC48. I used some string as my fiber of choice.  I hand stitched around the Labels 10 die cut, which matches the label from the Seasons of Joy set perfectly.  The saying is from Quotes a la Happy.  This one is my fave!  And the ruffled ribbon, Pyrus papers & button are from Basic Grey.  I sprayed the ruffled ribbon with some Shimmerz Vibez in Hot Fudge to make it a little more vintage looking.  Basic Grey …

a black, white and pink birthday

Oops, I have so many friends and family members with September birthdays, I really should have started making cards sooner. Oh well, guess that just means I’ll just *HAVE* to spend more time in my scrap room.  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #32 and Caardvarks color combo of black, white and pink for this birthday card. This is a fun sketch from Karen.  I’m going to have to keep this one handy for the future.  I just love the half circle element at the bottom.  It is just perfect for a little sentiment. This is another color combo outside …

quick and easy…

This is was a very quick card… less than 30 minutes.  Took me longer to photograph and post it then to actually make it. I have been on a butterfly kick, so pulled out my punches and went to work.  I chose pink as my basic color and cream cardstock.  The scallop circles were ran through my Cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder.  …

one more time…

Isn’t this a fun sketch!!!  I generally do 4 x 5.5 or square cards, so the rectangular shape of this card got me excited.  Sometimes the results amaze you.  This is the Sweet Sunday Sketch #23. I had a bunch of scraps from my previous attempt at the Color Inspiration #55, so I decided to use them up.  I’m also on a butterfly kick.  I love this punch from EK Success.  I think it is such a great butterfly.  I punched them from patterned paper and then backed them with the rust colored paper to give them a little more …

Sweet Sunday Sketch #20

So, I have been working on finding my mojo.  It is really annoying when you just can’t seem to find the time or the motivation to sit down and create.  Last night I just needed to do something.  So I turned to one of my favorite bloggers, Karen Girdon, for a sketch challenge… Sweet Sunday Sketch #20.  She has some of the greatest sketches and they fit my style so well. So here he is… my little owl is back!  Gotta turn to the old favorites when you wanna get your mojo back.  He is just so darn adorable, how …
