{2.14.2012} happy love day…

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I hope you enjoy Valentine’s Day.  The hubs and I are not big celebrators.  Everyday is Valentine’s Day in our house.  But we will be going out to dinner.  So this card, my bloggie friends, is for you!  I puffy you and wish you a lovely day.

I am playing with some Print Candee digitals today.  Stretching my digital legs so to speak.  All the images are from the current Print Candee Exclusive kit – LOVE BIRDS.  I love all the colors and great cute images.

I’m sending this one into the Create: Blog! card challenge for this week too.  I always forget about ribbon tabs.  It is a great simple little accent.

I am also submitting to the Simon Says Stamp challenge since the theme is
Love is in the Air!

{2.13.2012} print candee hop

This is my first hop with the amazing and talented Print Candee creative team!!! Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I’m a little nervous but SO excited as well. You should have arrived from the Print Candee blog. We will point you in the right direction as you hop along.

Today our theme revolves around die-cuts. There are so many great ways to use digital products with die-cuts. Today, I’m using a Spellbinder die to create a cutout with some beautiful papers by digital potpourri.

The papers are from the buttercream damasks paper set. So pretty, right? I love that demask pattern and wanted to highlight it with a scallop cutout.  I have been working on sympathy cards lately. The soft buttery yellow and kraft color is just somber enough with still having lovely color. I paired it with some Paper Smooches stamps (gently seasoned and sentiment sampler).

It may be cliche, but I almost always include a butterfly on my sympathy cards. I feel a sense of peace and comfort when they are floating on a card. That is what I hope they bring to whomever the card is for.  I’ve used a combo of cream half pearls and silver liquid pearls for a little bling and to add to the movement of the butterflies up the card.

We have some GREAT PRIZES to give away:  a $10 Print Candee gift certificate and a Spellbinder Pennant die-cut set.  Leave a comment on each of the blogs for more chances to win.  Contest closes at 11:59pm EST on Saturday, February 18th.

Up next is the fabulous Kalyn.

{2.12.2012} all that scraps

Ca-UTE!

Today, is my first post over at the All That Scraps blog.  With so many great items to choose from, it was hard to decide what to start with.

But, as you probably know… Valentine’s day is just 2 short days away.
Eeek.
Some really cute and quick valentines seemed like a fun idea.

For the bases, I cut the hearts from the My Mind’s Eye Rosy paper using a MFT layered heart dienamics. The paper may not be intended for valentines, but I think it works.  Actually, I really like it.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts set stamped on some punched out tags.  The C.C. Designs Sweet Pixie images are too darn cute.

I’m using Swiss Pixie Violet with Key digi and

the Swiss Hansel with Big Flower digi.

They are also available as stamps HERE.  To add a little sparkle to the wings I used a STARDUST pen in addition to the Copic coloring.

Lots of fun NEW items added to the shop.
You should check them out!

Enjoy the Day!!!

{2.10.2012} friends with flair

Happy day my Friends with Flair Unity peeps.

Have you seen this cuteness yet?  It is the current STAMP OF THE WEEK.  It is on its way to you if you’ve SIGNED up for this super fun program.  Every week, a brand new never before seen stamp in your mailbox.  Special to you, can’t be bought online or in a store (at least for quite a few month and never at this discount!).  How super awesome is that???

He is just too darn adorable.  Love the perfect hello saying, complete with a sweet heart.  Gah, wanna squeeze him.  I guess I could, but then I’d wrinkle the card.

I layered some digital papers for the background, printed them out.  Stamped on the super sweet stamps, tied some twine and called ‘er done.  Super easy.  Oh, I may have colored that little heart with some Copics too and added some faux stitching.  Writing about it took longer than making it.  Ha.

ALSO… these were released yesterday.

They are available for purchase NOW on the UNITY website.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to head back to the Unity blog to visit the rest of the Friends with Flair.

{2.9.2012} NEW release

NEW releases

ETA:  I thought I was hopping this week!  Ha.  NOPE.  I got so excited about the new releases I forgot which week I hop.  Giggle.  All the fun starts at Unity blog.  But I still have fun stuff to share.

FUN releases today both from {ippity} and Phyllis Harris.

How cute are these???  I want them all.

And we have some seriously cute {ippity} itty bitties releasing today.

How super funny!  I seriously giggled when I saw this pregnancy test stamp.

And this rainbow heart image is too sweet.  Perfect for coloring or paper piecing.

{2.7.2012} hey there mister

I thought this would be a fun guy card.  I was too lazy to stamp out the mister part.  Ha.  Instead, I thought the mustache said it for me.  It is popped up onto the spoon.

This is based on the Paper Smooches new SPARKS challenge.
inspiration photo.

I really liked the stripes and the pop of yellow.

Happy Tuesday.
Love Tuesday’s because that means Monday is OVER!
