sketchfest tuesday…

Yay… day three of the Caardvarks Sketchfest challenge. Today, I decided to try the “sketch out a card in the morning and stick with it in the afternoon” plan again.  I stayed pretty true to my sketch this time, I didn’t have to throw it out the window. I had lots of fun with this one.  I love owls and birds of any kind I suppose.  This is one of my most favorite owls.  He actually comes on a branch of his own.  That gave me the idea of creating a branch that spanned the width of the card.  So …

sketchfest monday…

Eeeekkkkk!  I felt like I was racing against the clock tonight to get this card done.  Funny thing is, before I left for work I had a sketch all drawn out and a plan ready for me when I got home.  Yeah, that went out the window.  Hee hee.  Here is my card for Caardvarks Sketchfest Monday challenge. This is for Day One …

This is the other card I made while my husband was recovering from surgery.  It was a secret card in case the intended recipient read my blog.  It is being delivered today, so I feel safe in posting. I am really loving clean and simple cards.  I just love the simplicity and a little surprise element, like the red rhinestones.  The cake and “Birthday Wishes” are embossed in chocolate embossing …

a fall happy everything

Yay, WordPress is back.  I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend! It is amazing how fast a three day weekend goes… whooosh and it is gone! I planned to work on more than one card this weekend (plus many other things), but life had other plans. I finally made myself sit down this afternoon and work on this card for Mojo Monday #103. This was a different kind of challenge for me. Not sure why, but the three panels threw me off. I ended up making a 6 x 6 inch card. That rarely happens. But I like the …
