winter time… when it is 110????

I love Caardvarks’ challenge this month and let me tell you, it is a challenge.  We are reaching some high temps right now in Arizona.  We are talking 110, 111, 113 and Caardvarks wants me to think about winter and holiday cards!  But I am so up to the challenge, especially since the sponsor is Hero Arts.  I am falling in love with Hero Arts stamps and desperately need to increase my stash.  I have maybe 4 or 5… this is not enough I tell you and I definitely do not have any of their holiday or winter stamps.  So …

i love saturdays…

I just wait for Saturday all week long.  I had only two plans for today… #1 make a card and #2 start my bread making process.  I am happy to report at 4:40pm today, I finally finished both tasks with a smile. Our Creative Corner’s challenge was based on inspiration from some harvest like images.  My first reaction …

I have been on a butterfly kick, so pulled out my punches and went to work.  I chose pink as my basic color and cream cardstock.  The scallop circles were ran through my Cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder.  …

Hip Hop Hangover

This was my first week to be able to really participate in the Unity’s Hip Hop Thursday and rolling over to hangover Friday.  I was able to create this card before heading into work. This is also a combined challenge card for Cardvaarks sketch challenge and Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to cut out and pop it!  The owl was stamped, colored with Copic markers and then popped with pop-dots.  I also added some liquid glass to the eyes to make them shine a little.  Behind the clear button, I cut a circle from another owl I colored to match. There …
