{1.09.2012} for you

I am back with another card for the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.
Here is a reminder of the inspiration photo:

I still think it is crazy cool!  The text and colors are too yummy.  So many ideas keep rattling around in my little head.  I had to get it down on paper to be able to make coffee.  That is some serious rattling, because coffee always comes first.

I’m still using some of the free digis for this card.  Seriously, they get neglected.
They were crying about being so lonely and forgotten.
So, I gave them a hug and put them to good use.

This time I colored in the cupcake with some Copics and then added some glitter glue to make the cherry on top a little blingy.

Why is it the glitter glue so thick you ask?  Or maybe you didn’t notice.  Either way, it is because I’ve had it so long the glitter is separating from the glue.  It is so thick I can’t squeeze it through the top.  Hmmmm, what to do about that?  Aha, use my rub on tool, scrape it out and smear it on.  I know, I know, I’m a genius.  I actually really like the effect of the glitter paste.  Plus, I don’t have to toss it out.  Bonus!

Really, either one could be used for anyone.  In my head, teal = boy and purple = girl.  But if I am desperate for a card, a guy will get a purple cupcake.  Just sayin’.

    Hi Lisa,
These are so lovely!!! Very nice cupcakes! And pretty colors! I would do the same as you, green for a boy and purple for a girl! But both will do!
Hugs & happy day to you!

Awesome! I am really loving your takes on this challenge. And that is some SERIOUS rattling, cards before coffee? Yoiks. Did the earth tilt a little that day? I imagine it being like me doing anything before that first sip. Even the dog knows she’s not going out before my cup is poured 🙂
