{4.15.2014} sending a little happy

a little happy

IMG_2703_dahlhouse

Just poppin’ with a card using the current Unity stamp of the week: Sending Happy Your Way.  Seriously, what better way to send some happy than with rainbows and ladybugs.  Total cuteness.  Such a random design.  Totally not what I had invisioned for this card.  In my mind, I had all sorts of patterned paper layered, the sentiment in a different banner shape and a tall card instead of landscape.  Yep, totally out the window when i couldn’t find the perfect patterned paper.

So, I changed gears and went with utilizing some scraps with the wood grain patterned paper.  You know the complimenting patterned paper 6×6 pads will place in a strip at the top of the sheet, that is what I used for my pseudo tape.

Oh, is that where I’m going wrong? You have to actually use your stash…. not hoard it lol! Maybe I’ll take a lesson from you, especially if the result is this fantastic!

Such a cute card! I absolutely love the ladybug on the rainbow, and so clever to use the top strip of your paper pad as faux-washi! 😉

This is perfectly cheery! Ladybugs & rainbows all the way 🙂 I love that woodgrain, and what a great idea for faux tape!
