Caardvarks Challenge – Trees

Caardvarks’ current challenge requested a tree-themed card.  Trees have really peaked my interested lately but had not quite enter my stash.  Hmmmmm… guess a shopping trip is in order!

Oh, I have lots of owls, lots of birds, a few branches here and there but I had no TREES!!!!  So a quick trip to Michaels resolved this dilemma.  Turns out the the whole Colorbok Friendly Forest line was up for clearance.  If you haven’t noticed… I love my Friendly Forest owl.  He has been the feature on my most recent cards.  So I stocked up on what I could use for the challenge and some other things  I really didn’t need (but just had to have).

The tree is part of one of the pattern papers from the paper pack.  The owl is actually from a different set (I gave my Colorbok owl a rest… he was tired).  This card came together so quickly and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
