{3.13.2011} butterfly party

Butterfly Blog Party

Sweet Eva put together a little blog party for those who love butterflies.
What a super theme and I couldn’t wait to join in on the fun.

I have a couple butterfly-lishous cards to share.

I have this thing for using butterflies for sympathy cards.  I just think they bring a sense of comfort and peace with them… something I hope the recipient feels.  So, a little butterfly seems to find its way into almost all of my sympathy cards.

For both my cards today, I used the to the moon and back & picture perfect Unity kits.  For this one, I also used the butterfly from the the best is yet to be kit.  I love how these three kits just combine so well.

I hoped that wasn’t a downer!  Ha.  I contemplated not sharing this one since this was suppose to be a FUN hop and sympathy cards can be a wa…wa…waaa.  But, I do love how sweet it turned out and I know they can be so hard to make.  I kept it in and hope it will inspire you somehow.  Now onto a “lighter” card.  🙂

I made these cards on different days, but they have the same basic design.  I just noticed just how similar they are when I put them in the post.  How did that happen?  Ha.  I guess I just love all these fabulous stamps.  This time is was all about the stamping, no patterned paper.

Thank you for visiting and thank you EVA for such a fun idea!

Head over to Eva’s blog to see all the butterfly lovers who signed up for the party!  I’ve heard there might be some prizes involved.  Woo hoo.

Happy Sunday everyone.

    These are beautiful Lisa!
I used the butterfly for a sympathy card as well.I think you are right about the feeling of comfort as peace. I guess as Ginak had put it once, something to the affect of if lilke didn’t change there would be no butterflys. I think the funeral director had said this to her when her Father passed away.
    Anyway….your cards are beautiful!
    Thank you for sharing!

    Blessings and Hugs,
    Mary
