Take Two Week - Unity Stamp Company

{3.22.2011} take two day two

Take Two Week Day 2!!!

So happy you are joining Emily and I for day 2 of our Take Two Week.

I just wanted to take a second to welcome those new to my blogland.  I enormously enjoyed reading all your comments from those new and old yesterday.  Thank you so much for coming to visit!

For those new, I thought I’d share a tad about ME!  Lol.  I am on the design team for {ippity} by Unity.  I LOVE this company and when Em and I started planning this week, we were really doing it just for the LOVE of Unity.  When Angela found out about our little plan, she offered up 5 stamp sets for us to give away in addition to Emily’s Growing in Unity prize.  Isn’t that amazing.  If you are new to UNITY, you will fall in LOVE too.  The quality of these stamps are fantastic and the designs are so unique and original.  Plus, we are all a BIG family.  Angela, Unity’s hard working employees, the design team members and the customers have such a fabulous little community.  I treasure them all.  If you’d like to check out our little community, visit the SCS Unity Forum.  Always a fun time in there.

Well, I guess that wasn’t anything about me.  Ha.  I’ll have to share tomorrow so this little post doesn’t turn into a novel.

Today we are using the My Dear Unity Stamp set.
PLUS, It is on SALE right now for only $18, such a great deal!!!

This vintage type of set is generally not my style, but I wanted it to be when I order it.  Ha.  For a bit, I tried to force myself into a shabby chic and vintage style.  I had some successes and some not so successful.  But now I am learning how these beautiful stamps can work for my clean and graphic style.  This has joined my MOST favorite cards pile,  it will be hard to part with.  Heehee.  I hope you like it too.

I used the text background in some Versamark and that GORGEOUS rose layered in the blossom die cut.  I colored the center with just a touch of color.  And last, the sentiment comes from the to the moon and back kit.

Click the button below to check out what EMILY has up for today too!!!

Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win a My Dear stamp set!

Did you notice my little watermark???
I have them for sale HERE!  Plus, I’ll be giving away 2 watermarks from comments left this week.

stamps: My Dear, to the moon and back {unity stamp co}
die cuts: blossom {spellbinders}
other: colored pencils {prismacolor}, Versamark

  1. This is gorgeous! I love that layered flower and the soft colours. So glad you guys have embarked on this project or I might never have found your blog. 🙂

  2. Gorgeous colors! Love the card (though you say it isn’t your style, maybe you could have shabby chic as the second in line 😉 )..

  9. I really love how you were able to use this vintage style set for your clean style. Now you have me wondering about the sets I bought because they are beautiful, but are dusty because they are quite my style that I craft in! I’ll have another look and see how I may be able to adopt them 🙂

  11. I LOVE how you highlighted the rose portion of the main image, then brought it out with just a touch of colour! I love this stamp set, too… but I don’t want to buy it because I’m pretty sure I’d never figure out how to use it! On the other hand, if I _won_ it… 😉 Gorgeous card, Lisa.
