{9.8.2011} craziness
Sometimes…
I just shouldn’t try to make a card. Ha. I was having one of those days. Nothing was looking right, turning out right and every stamp set just seemed wrong. ARGH. I just wanted to scream and throw a tantrum. Luckily, I’m 33 and didn’t throw myself on the floor and turn blue like I wanted too. It was a close call though.
Seriously, this card is no where near my original plan again.
Here is my original sketch:
And my card that looks NOTHING like it.
What the heck is up with my mojo lately? My card turned out nothing like that sketch! But I kinda like it anyway. Very fall-ish and kinda cute. Here is a new sketch based on this card if you’d like some inspiration.
I’m thinking I might post some sketches along with my cards from time to time. You can use them if you’d like, no pressure. 🙂 I used to make sketches for the Limelight Papercrafts online store and I miss doing it.
Can you spot the wood grain? The green background paper is actually a wood grain pattern and then I embossed the plaid with a wood grain embossing folder. Would you like to guess what the challenge was this week on the Create: Blog? Yes ma’am, it would be to include some sort of wood grain! ha. I’m also submitting it to the Hero Arts September challenge.
If you decide to use one of my sketches, I’d love to see what you create. You can link up below and I’ll check you out. Thanks for playing!
Links will remain open for 2 weeks.

SUPER fab card—I LOVE that you were about to have a tantrum! Don’t worry if you do! You are not alone–I’ve done it. Wait–maybe I shouldn’t admit that! LOL!
Fun sketches and I will have to see what I can come up with:) LOVE your woodgrain paper and embossing! FAB!!!

Sometimes mojo just has its own plan, I think! I’ve definitely had those days where everything I make makes me go “WHAT??” or have a tantrum. I’m 34 & I still do it once in a while, though it mostly takes the form of flouncing off to read a book & pout, lol.
I find sketches challenging, but I love the look of both of these & printed them out. We’ll see if I get brave enough to play! The circles on your card add so much whimsy, and I love that little squirrely guy 🙂

Your post made me laugh! I have been there…. the finished product is nothing like the plan, with much pulling out of hair, because I seriously kept trying to make it work! Just want to say that I think this card is adorable and I totally love the embossed DP!
