{11.14.2011} pretty as a peacock

Paper Smooches has put up their new SPARKS challenge.

I love this fabulous scarf and couldn’t wait to create this card.

This peacock is the reason I wanted the My Peeps set.  Isn’t he so adorable and so pretty!  Once I saw the apple pattern in the scarf, I couldn’t wait to break him out and color him up.

I colored the peacock and feathers with Copic markers.  Then added a little glitter glue to the center of the feathers.  I only applied a little liquid glue to the tip of the feather so the other end would have some lift.  This is a great way to add dimension without the bulk of foam adhesive.  I thought about adding a sentiment but in the end I had to leave it blank.   When I had finished applying all the feathers, I just couldn’t cover up any of them up.

  2. I agree . . . no sentiment was the way to go. He’s so fantastic he needs to have the spotlight all to himself! LOVE how his feather extend off of the card!!!

  4. Oh, wauw, Lisa! I love this peacock!! Sooo gorgeous! I had so much fun with this inspiration photo as well and now I wish I had this set as well, so I could make a gorgeous peacock like this as well! It’s true perfection!!!
