Take Two Week - Unity Stamp Company

{3.23.2012} final take two day and friends with flair

Take Two Week: Day FIVE

And so the party must come to an end!  This is our last day for this year’s Take Two week.  Again, it was super amazing and I have to thank my friend, Emily, for sharing this week with me.  I know she had a ton going on and yet still found time for Take Two.  Thanks girlie.

And a great big thank you to Angela at Unity Stamp Company!  No one is as generous as Unity and Angela.  She is the heart and soul of this company and you feel it every time you purchase or ink up a stamp.  Love ya girl.

Ready to see what kit we are using today?

take your time

Emily and I are focusing on the clocks and dress bust to use for our cards today.  The clocks have not seen ink in my set yet, so I was excited to start with them first.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them.  They come linked together, but I wanted to use them separately.  I cut them apart and randomly inked them on a circle of white cardstock.  The saying is just perfect… gotta love Unity for their sentiments.  The arrow is hand drawn.  I really love arrows.  This one is to mimics the clock theme.

Up next, we are using the bust image from the kit.  I felt like it needed a party dress… sort of a hodgepodge party style.  Some fun papers and lots of patterned paper layering going on here.  The saying is from THIS kit.  That little bit of lace is from a strip of clothing I cut off to save the buttons from a pair of pajamas.  That wasn’t its intended use, but the party dress needed a little trim.  I was thinking the dress would look pretty cool with a jean jacket of sorts, so I threw some denim patterned paper in the back.

Thank you all again for joining us this week.  It has been super fun and you ALL made it extra special!!!

Please pop on over to Emily’s blog for her final cards too!  I’m excited to see her amazing cards.

Don’t forget, we are giving away ONE of each stamp set we used this week (that is 5 sets) and 2 of my watermarks (I’ve also added a few new designs if you haven’t checked them out recently).  You have until Saturday, March 24 at 11:59pm EST to leave a comment on each post this week and we’ll announce the winners on Monday, March 26, 2012.

It is also Friends with Flair on the Unity blog.  So head back over there to see all the fabby entries.

  13. You killed it again! Love how the clocks mimic the polka dot paper and that is one kick ass party dress! Thanks for running Take Two again this year. 🙂

  14. Wow, that week flew by! You and Emily have offered up some significant inspiration. I seriously ♥ the clock card. The dress form card is so fun!

  15. Love the Bohemian style of the dress-form card–lots of cool fabric textures going on there; kind of a new take on a Victorian crazy quilt. Your clock card is graphic and wonderfully consistent–the clocks within a clock face on the dotty background… I hope you two ladies do this again–or maybe make it a semi-annual event!

  16. absolutely loving the clocks…and arrow images on your cute polka dotted card! The fabric on your second card is a wonderful touch! Just loving this Take 2 team-up!

  17. What great cards, Lisa! Love the clocks one! And I’m crazy for the 2nd one! Love those chevron papers SO much and the denim paper – adorable!

  18. I love how you use the clocks on your first card. And I like the “jeans” touch on the second.

  19. I would have cut them apart too! :> Such a cute clock card! And such a cute dress form card! :> Love the hodgepodge dress!
