Moxie Fab World - Simon Says Stamp - Stamp of the Week - Unity Stamp Company

{5.21.2012} cupcakes

Seriously?
Have you seen this cupcake?
Yummers.
It is the new Stamp of the Week from Unity.

I had to bring out my Copics for this one.  It took me a long time to color in this delicious cupcake, but it was sure fun.  The inspiration for the splatter came from the Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  The use of the acetate was actually a fix to cover up an oops.  Heehee.  Originally, I dripped some Shimmerz Vibez directly onto the cardstock.  Um, it is way to wet to do that, plus really sheer.  Great, now what to do?  I decided to cut out the center of the card and replace it with a piece of acetate spattered with the Vibez white.  Ahhh, much better.  There are some little rhinestones in the spatter to help it sparkle a little more.

  5. Not a boo-boo, an opportunity for embellishment 🙂 Accidents are a great way to push creativity. Just remind me of that the next time the air is blue with my cursing over a smudge, etc. lol!
I really love this idea – maybe I’ll try it out on purpose! It adds so much dimension. Love that label shape, too 🙂
