Happy Thursday
Thursday fun is happening with the Unity design team. If you have been hopping you should have arrived from Joslyn‘s blog, if not, all the action starts on the Unity blog.
We start the brand new Unity {be inspired} challenge for this month.
Wanna peek???
Of course you do.
I am focusing on the colors for today’s card as well as the sketch.
I broke out my watercolor pencils for this one. Can you believe this is the first time I’ve tried the emboss resist technique? It was fun and I’ll definitely have to do this again. Love the effect.
I’m using the fabulous new monthly sentiment kit call Here’s my Thoughts. LOVE the big, funky sayings. They are perfect center stage.
Going to think this card up to the Birthday Card Challenge at the Moxie Fab World too.
It has been awhile since I’ve done a video, so I dusted off the ol’ camera and thought I would share how I created the watercolor emboss resist tag. Hope you enjoy.
** COMMENT PRIZE **Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today. We’ll be giving away 3 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.
That is all from me, head on over to the amazing Shellye next!!!!
Here are the list of blogs hopping today.
Fun project with the new set! Thanks for the tutorial, Lisa.
i’d like to say… WOW!!! Stunning!!
Way cool!! Never thought of using watercolour pencils this way. Love the tag, Lisa! It’s nice to hear your voice, and love your nail color 🙂
Thank you, I am so embarrassed my nail color is so chipped! Lol. I decided to do a video last minute otherwise I would have removed it or painted them again. Guess you all now know I am horribly lazy at keeping my manicure looking pretty. Heehee.
I am in love with the watercolor effect on your card. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great technique. Love the colors.
Pretty card. I love the colors used. I just picked up some water color paper by Strathmore. And I really loved using it. I youtube water color paper after I picked it up and seen one video where Strathmore mixed media paper is a great pick.
And the way you used the water pencils is awesome and a great tip. Will add this to my must try list.
