[12.2.2013] wanna sketch reminder
Whoa! Where da heck did November go??? I blinked and it was gone. The date popped out at me today. I’m going to blink again and it will be 2014… no more 2013. That just blew my mind! Ha.
It seems like this round of Wanna Sketch is going by way too fast. I’m popping in with my second card and reminder. Still PLENTY of time to play and I sure hope you do. You all just make me giddy when I see what you do with the sketch. It is so much fun.
Here is a look at the sketch again.
The sketch is very trendy right now. I’ve seen this basic silhouette in blogland for awhile, so I thought I’d challenge myself and you to see what we could come up with. It always surprises me when two people have a similar design. My sweet, talented friend Therese (from Lost in Paper) tilted her bottom panel too. I love how we had the same idea, but our personalities still shine through and our cards are so different. You should check out her card linked up below, it is amazing!
I must admit this card gave me some trouble. Mainly, in cutting that weird shape of pink paper. The first time, I ended up cutting a perfect rectangle! Yup, I have no idea what the heck I did. Lol. So the second time, I positioned my pink paper where I wanted it on my card base, flipped the whole thing over and used my pencil to draw a line along the side and bottom. That helped tremendously.
Ok, now it is your turn! I can’t wait to see what you do. The linky will stay open until Friday, December 13, 2013 {11:55pm PT}.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I’m so glad you send out these little reminders! You know I can’t resist playing with your sketches! But like you say, the time just zings by and before you know it, a month is gone! (oh, and I’m easily distracted too!). The reminders help a ton! And the added inspiration with your always awesome card is a bonus!! Big plans to make a card for the challenge very soon!

Of course, if you’d wanted to cut a perfect rectangle… 😉 This is a fun variation with the canted panel!

Loving the angle on your card, I’m just in the middle of another card with the same…. great minds!
