[11.17.2014] wanna sketch no. 22
Wow, November is more than half over. Yikes! If you are like me, your remaining weeks in this beautiful 2014 are jam packed and filled with TONS of plans, celebrations, good food, chores, shopping, crafting and drinking. Not in any particular order. Ha. ‘Tis the season.
I have a feeling I’ll be sharing a Christmas card using this sketch in the next couple weeks. I have an idea brewing. But for today’s kick off, I have a very springy type card (surprisingly). It is not quite fall or winter in Arizona. It is how it goes, we go from 100 degree weather to 60 overnight. I’m waiting for that to happen. Maybe this week if we are lucky. I want to bring out my sweatshirts.
I wanted to make sure that the line of hearts in the sketch were the focus of the card. I found the perfect stamp to mimic that line and left it in black and white. One of my favorite stamping tricks lately. I just used a Copic marker to add a little shadowing. All the stamping was done in black and then I used patterned paper to bring in the color. That heart is super shiney in the photo. Really, it is just glossy accents over patterned paper, but the light hit it just perfect to make it look a little pearl-ish.
Now it is your turn… Are you ready to take this sketch on??? The linky will stay open until Friday, December 19, 2014 {11:55pm PT}.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
