Card #1

The Details

Up first is this beauty… the brand new You are Forever Beautiful stamp set. These flowers! I’m so obsessed with them. As soon as I saw them I just knew they needed to be watercolored.

I love the combo of red, green and black. It is so classic and elegant when it comes to floral images.

I watercolored the flowers with Distress Inks on watercolor paper. Then, I matted it with a scalloped border edge and popped that up over some green patterned paper. My sentiment is also stamped on watercolor paper to match and then notched at the end to create a banner. Last, I added some clear Nuvo Drops just to add a little something special to the card.

Card #2

The Details

Isn’t she simply lovely? I just love the brand new Margaret Girl. She has this amazing dress that is super for coloring or for paper piecing. You can create just about anything for her to wear to the party.

Teal and red are just the happiest of color combos… don’t you think? It just says party.

I watercolored the image with Distress Inks and then die cut her out with a scalloped die. She is popped up over some teal and red patterned paper. I just wanted to keep the background simple so the girl could be the star of the card. To finish everything off, I added some sequins for a bit of movement and sparkle.
