Card Trio: Two Step Copic Coloring + Video

Fun and Bright Cards…

I’m so excited about the new May 2021 sentiment kit from Unity Stamp Company. It has these gorgeous flowers in two sizes and little accent leaves as well. So great to mix and match for a beautiful card. I was greatly inspired by my talented friend Therese from Lost in Paper. She shared a video on an easy way to color with alcohol inks. Of course, I had to give it a go.

In this video, I share my process and tips on how to color these flowers with Copic alcohol markers. Plus, create with me as I assemble the three cards.

Card no. 1

I love those bold black and white stripes as a backdrop to those big beautiful flowers. They easily create a lovely border and I just added a simple banner for the sentiment. It probably could handle a few sequins or Nuvo Drops, but in the end, I kept the look fairly simple.

Card no. 2

It has been a long time since I’ve done a very clean and simple card. I do like to keep things simple but all the white space in this card makes me happy. Just two flowers layered up and a sweet tag sentiment slipped in-between is all this card needed. Oh, and a few sequins and gems as well.

Card no. 3

I had to use the brand new Say It Big Dies for this final card in the set. Another pair of beautiful flowers are the backdrop and accent to the white on white scallop die cut. I’m loving how the colors just pop and the hint of shine from the copper foil cardstock for the birthday sentiment.
