Watercolor Happy Retirement Card + Video

Watercolor with Karin Brush Markers…

Retirement cards seem to be in demand for me lately. Unity always has the perfect stamps for any occasion, including retirement. Today, I’m using Happy Retirement and Hello Fresh Start with some watercoloring to create the perfect card.

The Card

The Details

To make this super easy to watercolor, I stamped the roses from Hello Fresh Start and heat embossed them in white on watercolor paper. Then I used my Karin Watercolor Brush Pens to add in the watercolor look. I’m no expert, so really anyone can do this. Check out my video for details on how I watercolored the flowers.

Happy Retirement is the perfect retirement sentiment set. It stamps beautifully and has a coordinating die. I love how it cuts out the sentiment to make it easy to pop it up on a card. Don’t you agree? To add a bit of shine, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver and then added a few sequins as well.
