Happy New Year, Friends…

Time to welcome in the new year and what better way than to be using some great Unity Stamp Company sentiment kits. A little bit of bling and a timeless look is just the perfect way to wish someone a Happy New Year. I’m using a couple of great stamp sets and some Glimmer Hot Foil to create today’s card.

The Details

Often when I create a stamp set, I’ll think about how to use the sentiment or design in multiple ways. When I created the Merry Christmas sentiment in Holiday. Faith. Hope. Love., I hoped it could easily be masked for a New Years’ card as well. Happy to say that it worked beautifully. The masking part wasn’t too complicated to achieve with just a few strips of washi tape.

I love this clock image from You are Timeless and what a great focal point for a New Years’ card. The stamp set does include a small Happy New Year, but it just wasn’t quite big enough for this space. But works wonderfully on the inside.

The chevron background brought just the right amount of sparkle to this card. I used a fabulous chevron plate and holographic foil in my Glimmer machine to create the panel and then die-cut it down. I layered up all the great panels and finished off the card with a few Nuvo Drops in pewter color.

I love how it all came together and a wonderfully crafty way to welcome the New Year.
