3 FUN Birthday Cards with Hot Foil

I have some fun birthday cards to share with the brand new May 2022 sentiment kit — Extended Celebration. This stamp set is full of great sentiments and images to make so many different designs. I’m sharing 3 simple ideas today accented with some cute hot foil backgrounds.

Card No. 1

The Details

Just two stamps and bam… how cute is this birthday card? The sweet little cake was colored with Copic markers and then popped up over the sentiment. I used the Scallops & Rectangles dies to cut it out and it was ready to go.

The background and scallop frame was made with the Celestial Stars hot plate and Aura foil. I just love the holographic shine it adds. Fun tip: foil a solid piece of cardstock to die cut your scallop panel.

Card No. 2

The Details

Say hello to my sweet little green balloon! Just some simple stamping and Copic coloring again. All the little stars and hearts available in the stamp set are great to add some accents to the birthday sentiments.

Back again with the same foils and dies. One way to make multiple cards at one time is just to use the same products for each card but just switch one or two things up. This time, I made the center panel bigger with a more details sentiment and the background covers the entire card base. These simple changes make a big difference between the two cards.

Card No. 3

The Details

Last, we have this sweet row of presents and lots of foiling shine. You can make these presents fit any color scheme. How fun to match them to the wrapping paper or gift bag so they look like a complete set.

I’m using the Twinkle Lights and Rose Gold foil for this background. I also foiled the negative piece of foil to create the strip behind the presents so no piece of foil was wasted. Lots of shine going on for this card!
